I took some pictures during SXSW at a couple of local joints, the G&S Lounge and NeWorlDeli. There were lots of great singer-songwriters there including the hosts of the event, Jim Patton and Sherry Brokus.
You can see the whole set here: http://1drv.ms/1NihehS I include photography with Social Media Management packages that I offer through AustinMediaSlingers.com If you are in a band or have a solo act and need help with your Social Media or photography, let me know on that site. Thanks!

![]() Creativity without vision is worthless. A camera can snap an image, but when not influenced by an intelligent being, it's just an image. This photo titled "The Birds", was taken at mile marker 40 on the North shore of Padre Island in Texas. Inaccessible by any vehicle without four-wheel drive, this shot was taken while on a camping trip and in just a split second. I did however, take the time to compose the scene to get the most birds in and at least a wave to pull the viewer in to the natural element of the moment. I saw this as it was happening and captured it to share with others. I live by my statement that "Creation is equal only to vision", a saying that is presented within this image and all my other photos both film and digital. Without it, what's the point? For more examples of my work, please see my portfolio: http://www.WickedLight.com ![]() From the beginning of February through the last day in May, we're offering a Winter/Spring Special. The offer is for any full package deal and takes a nice 10% off the package price. When booking your photography session, be sure to mention this offer. www.WickedLight.com Contact us today to schedule your photography session
![]() It's time for Holiday Pictures again and this year we have three great photo sessions to choose from! Session starting at just $125. And if you book your session by Friday November 16th, you'll receive a $25 print credit. With so many great options at unbelievable prices, this year is sure to be a busy one! http://www.wickedlight.com/holiday-pics.html So yes, normally when there's an upgrade of any sort prices go up, but for now, I've decided to drop them. Combining two completely different genre's of photography together isn't just the punch of a few buttons...it's the punch of many! I do make a living as a photographer, but also as a web designer, social media manager, and consultant. So new website, new prices, new look, combined websites, and even a few new sub-domains including WickedLightWeddings and WickedLightPhotos.
I decided to clean house a bit and re-combine Wicked Light Photography with Brad Leese Photography. By doing this I've brought the People and Commercial elements of my photography together all under one much bigger roof. In the coming months there will be more changes, some exciting, some boring and then some completely a surprise, but all welcome. I invite you to come take a look at my "new digs" and stay awhile, 'cause the weather's always nice here...!
Just posted my Commercial Rates and posted a new Real Estate "Flat Rate" Special. I offer convenient mail or email invoicing with easy online payment.
Big changes are coming to Wicked Light and will soon include all the photography genres we shoot, a new online photo or digital image download solution, and a cross-platform transition between Wicked Light Photography and Austin Media Slingers. "I smell a change in the air, and hear the thunder of a million hooves..." Stay tuned... The Wicked Light Photography website has been transformed and the new look is now live! Brad Leese is the premier commercial food and product photographer in the area. Established in 2005, Wicked Light Photography based out of Hutto, Tx, has provided images for a variety of local and worldwide clients. Music on the site is provided by the "Brad Sucks" one man band.
Brad Leese also runs the Austin Media Slingers- a social media management/marketing company, Photo Student Discounts- a website that is geared towards photography and video students and educators, and is a partner in Tri Tex Photography- a full-service photography business. Woke up this morning, got ready and have been sitting here working on this website and others I run for the past 4 1/2 hours now. There's just so much to do in such a short 24 hours, too bad I can't push it to 25 or 26 hours in a day. Just think how much you could get done if we had a extra hour or two, heck if I could go without sleep, I could really get a bunch done!
Added some new stuff to the website like my "Published/Awards" (still working on this page", changed the blog name to Wicked Blog, rearranged some things and pulled my prices so that I can re-re-re-adjust them to something a little more practical to my new approach on my elder photography business. Been into photography for really as long as I can remember. I love everything about photography, the people, the memories captured, the processes involved, the equipment, everything. I don't live and breath photography, but I'm just as contempt working on an image as I am doing anything else. And while my time, talent and images do cost, I give a bunch of all away, mostly in the form of advice and help to old friends, new friends and yes, even strangers. |
